This is my first time building a website and I am not as tech savvy as I once thought.  I have built  a really simple page and I am simply trying to get it to post.  Right now when you go to my site there is a bunch of index/ information on the homepage. I attempted to upload my page to the public. html folder but it is still not working.  I asked Lunar Pages and their answer is way to technical for me:

The website is displaying all the files inside the public_html folder because there is no index fiel and because the index option is enabled. You have the following options:

1. Upload an index file (index.html, .htm, .php) or edit .htaccess and set a DirectortIndex which should be the file that you wish the website to display at first.

2. Disable indexing by editing .htaccess and adding Optiosn -Indexes

The .htaccess file should be located within the same public_html folder. If it does not exist you can create a new one.

PLEASE HELP!

Might check here for a little more assistance:

http://wiki.lunarpages.com/FrontPage

If you are getting the list-o-files/default index, you may not have uploaded your content to the right spot.  Double check and make sure you have uploaded the content into the public_html folder, and you haven't (for example) created a new folder called public_html and put that inside of your public_html folder.  If you could share your domain with us here, it might help us all troubleshoot your issue.   Thanks!

When browsing to your domain, our server looks for a file named index.htm, index.html, index.php, etc. and displays it automatically. You need to name your home page of the first file you want to show as index.something. If homework.htm is your home page, then rename it to index.htm instead and it will show.

Hello,

I see you are using FrontPage and the FrontPage extensions are installed on your site. Here are some tips:

Your home page needs to have the file name index.htm or index.html. You can rename the file in FrontPage.

Publish your pages in FrontPage by selecting the File menu and choosing Publish Site.

Publish to the address http://msrobillard.com and the files will go where they need to go.
