Does anybody knows how to load a website to a dvd,...
Somebody asked me to view my web through a dvd...
Strange what people ask...
I am using FP, editor and I thought I can load it from there, and they can view it,
...would that be an option?
...would they see it normally like on the net?

Hello,

In FrontPage, publish the site to a new, empty folder in the file system of your computer. Then use Windows Explorer to copy all of the files and folders to the DVD. To start the homepage, the user would open the home page in a browser just like on the web. The user can also click Start... Run... and type in D:index.html, where D is the drive letter of the DVD drive.

There are some techniques to enable the automatic opening of the home page when the DVD is inserted but I don't have access to them right now.

Features that require the FrontPage server extensions such as FrontPage forms will not work from the DVD and there will be a dialog box to that effect during the publish sequence.

Rick E,

thaks a lot!!!!
I did work.
If you find how to open the dvd with the index.htm directly, I would appreciate....

But otherwise it works fine!
i hope it will be working as well on their computer.
