I've written about this before and never got it to work so I dropped it. However, I am finding I must use forms on my website now because it is affecting my business. Here is what I am trying to do. I designed a form in Frontpage 2003. The server extensions are installed.

First when I try to change "form properties" to I get this error...
The form cannot be configured to send results via email. The website may be located on a disk based server or on a server that has not been configured to send email. Contact your systems administrator etc. etc.

I do not know how to set up to form to send results any other way. Is there any way to use a form with FP2003? Can someone please help me, it's really driving me crazy. Crying or Very sad

Don't hold me to this, but I thought LP uses FP2002 extensions which work with their Unix setup.

FP2003 extensions have not be made available for Unix.

I had to change something on my site because of similar issue with FP2003 clashing with Unix.

The form email should work fine with LunarPages. You might try Tools menu... Page Options... Authoring... in the top section check all but Sharepoint.

In the lower section choose both IE and Navigator, browser version 5/6 and later.

I'm having the same problem, and that last tip didn't help me. I didn't get the error until I customized the confirmation page...I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I recently put a feedback form on my site and was getting the exact same error message, but it didn't prevent the form from working correctly.  Are you creating the form on your computer and then publishing to LP?  That is what I was doing, and I think the error message refers only to the copy of the form on your computer.  In other words FrontPage is telling you that as it sits on your computer, it can't send e-mail.  But once you publish the site, and it is sitting on the LP servers, everytyhing should work fine.  At least that is what I found.

Also, have you gone through the FrontPage forms tutorial?  I found that to be very helpful too.  I just followed the tutorial and ignored the error message when I created the form.  It worked fine when I published it.

Hope that helps.

I'll copy the html code from the server before I update the file with my customized confirmation page. Thanks for that last tip, I'll reply if it works or if it doesn't.
