Does anyone know what the best method of loading pages in cells is? If you'll notice on this page, the header and link bar are actually different pages placed inside of Inline Frames, but this causes some alignment issue in Firefox that makes the link bar partially overlap the main central frame.

Is there some other way I should be doing this? At the moment I just have an Inline Frame for the header/link bar, but someone once mentioned that this isn't the way to go.

What would be a better approach, using Expression Web 2? (preferably that doesn't involve coding, as I'm not a coder)
Maybe a way to make a cell simply "contain" a page or something?

Unless I'm missing something, the FrontPage "Included Content" feature is what you want. This feature includes the body portion of one page into a different page and is commonly used to include common headers, navbars, and footers into a main container page.

To find this feature, select the Insert menu and choose Web Component... Page.

Notes:

FrontPage includes do not require the FrontPage server extensions.

FrontPage includes were left out of Expression Web but you can still use them in EW by copying the lines of code.

If you're on a web server that supports PHP (usually a Linux server) you can also use PHP server side includes but they're not as slick as the FP includes.

Hmm, I see. So, otherwise, would inline frames be the only way to go? (no idea where I'd get the "include" code from, and of course I can only work with it on a "tinkering" level)

In FrontPage, here's how to include one page into a main page.

The main page and the page you are including both need to be in the same web site and the web site needs to be open in FrontPage.

* Start FrontPage, select the File menu and choose Open Web, then open the web site you want to work with.

* Open the main page in Design View then click to place the blinking insertion point at the place where you want the included page to appear.

* Select the Insert menu then choose Web Component... Included Content... Page. Then browse to the page you want to include.

If you want to use FrontPage includes in Expression Web, here the line of code. Paste this line into the HTML view at the place you want the included page to appear.

In the code, substitute the name of your page for "includepage.htm"
