I'm trying something new and I'm hoping someone can help me. I created a new page and I want to add a Power Point presentation file to it. There will be a link to this new page from the homepage and what I want is for the slideshow to start automatically after the page opens. What I don't want, though, is for this slideshow to take up the entire page. So far I just created a layer but now I can't figure out how to insert the Power Point file. Does anyone have any experience with this? Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way. I've been warned to stay away from layers before.

By the way, I'm not using Frontpage extensions in this site.

Thanks, that Google docs program didn't look too bad. It doesn't do quite what I need, though. For one thing I can't seem to resize the presentation in the screen. It also warns that the entire presentation and code can be taken by simply using the menu button at the bottom of the google docs screen. I looked at the other options in that link and they seem to do the same thing, where i would upload the presentation to their site and have it accessed through there. I was hoping to find a way to embed it to the page locally.

It looks like another option might be to convert the .pps file to flash, but since I have no experience with this either I have to research this from scratch. I want to keep this as simple as possible but don't want to have to buy any new software.

I'm now trying to do this by converting the .ppt file to a flash video (.swf). I downloaded and used openoffice.org to convert the file but now I'm trying to figure out how to embed the flash video. I tried to simply "insert file" in frontpage but that just gives me a page full of gibberish. Work in progress.

Anyone familiar with flash?

Disregard that previous post. I realized that my problem was I was trying to "insert file" when I should have been using "insert-Picture-Movie in flash format"

Seems to be ok so far. Hopefully it will continue to work after publishing
