I hope someone can help me! I am using Front Page 2000, and  I always used to update my pages by working offline, saving, then publishing using the "publish web" in FP.  I just recently found out that you can "Publish Live" by opening the web online, ( I think it was from reading the posts on this forum! ) Wink

Now the problem...
After working on my site "live", it saved it to the server like it was supposed to, but after closing FP and then going back to work on it again offline, the new changes are not there.  How do I save it on the server AND on my hard drive at the same time?  Confused

Thanks!

You can't save the changes both places simultaneously. You can open the web on your computer and work on it, then publish the saved changes to the web, or you can open the web live on the server and work on it like you have been doing recently. It sounds like you now need to open the web live and publish the web back to the folder on your hard drive. Then both would be the same.

Most people work off line and publish tot he server, although if several people are working on the site it's convenient to work on it live.

Rick_E is spot on, you need to publish back to your computer.  The process is exactly the same as you used to do when publishing to the web server except now you Open Web to your server, and then Publish Web to the folder on your computer (eg c:/my documents/my webs/example web).  This should be detailed in the help files, if you can not find it there, it is described in Microsoft's site.  Thumbs Up
