Hello

Not quite sure where I've gone wrong.

I've added a domain and put up a dummy announcement page www.silent-vamp.com using FP.  In FP all looks good, it's a simple placemarker.

But, the image used on the page does not show up when viewed in the browser.  It's uploaded in the proper directory.

Any thoughts?

My regular site publishes with no issues from FP, as well.  So I'm not sure where I've got this hiccup.

Thanks

Donna

Since it is pulling up a "Forbidden" error, might check the file permissions assigned to that folder or that file.  Standard settings should be 644 for files and 755 as the highest number the folders should be set to.  This cPanel File Manager tutorial should help you with how to get that done.

Hello Mitch

Thank you for your reply.  I viewed the tutorial and looked at the permissions and it looks like the permissons are okay.

The add-on is: silent-vamp.com,
the user/domain: silent-vamp
password: my lunarpages PW for the main domain and my account.

I think that is correct.

the folder for the add-on www.silent-vamp.com is in the public_html folder callled silent-vamp and an image folder is under the silent-vamp folder.

I've tried deleting all and re-adding the domain, still the page shows up, but no image and I am at a loss.

Help!

If you haven't already, I would suggest you contact support@lunarpages.com or submit a help desk ticket so they can check out the permissions on the server side, and see if they can see any issues from that end.  Thanks!

Hello,

Try moving bambidika1.jpg to the images folder and making sure the file has been uploaded (published) and is present in the images folder.

Also make sure the picture properties include the images/ folder as part of the address of the picture.

Also be aware that Linux servers are case sensitive so if your file name is somethink like Bambidika1.JPG it will not be found.

Since you're getting forbidden, check and see if hotlink protection is on. I recently had a problem with that, while experimenting with hotlink protection.

Thanks!  You are 100% correct, I ended up doing as Mitch suggested and contacting support, it's an easy fix and I'm an idiot for not realizing it.
