I was using Frontpage but am now using another software program to create my site.  My website has been live for a few years. Do I have to disable FP in the control panel before I can publish the website (with the  new software)?
When I publish the site, will it override the files already live?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for any advice.

Hello,

No you do not have to uninstall the FrontPage extensions in the cPanel. But if you are no longer using FrontPage to edit your site and if your pages do not use the features that require the extensions, I suggest uninstalling the extensions then clicking to "cleanup extensions."

Your new program will probably use FTP to publish the changed files and they should overwrite the older files on the server.
