To FTP to the subdomain and/or create a network place, use
Windows Explorer to go to the address
ftp://mydomain.com
Click OK on the error message then select the File menu and choose Login As...
Enter the subdomain FTP username
wholesale@mydomain.com and the subdomain FTP password then place a check in the box to remember the password.
Once you are in, save it in your Favorites for ease of future entry. I believe a network place will be created and you can then create a shortcut to place on your desktop.
Note that you need to use Windows Explorer for the FTP, not Internet Explorer.
You can also use any FTP client to go to
http://ftp://mydomain.com and sign in with username
wholesale@mydomain.com and the FTP password. The system places you into the correct folder based on the username you entered.
