Hello all.  I am about to embark on uploading a video to my website.  The video is presently in 'avi' format. (I also have it in Windows Movie Maker format) I use FrontPage for my website which is located at www.SaveGreenwichVillage.com  Can anyone advise me on what html code to insert on a page in order for the video to be viewed?  Thank you very much.

Insert menu... Web Component... Advanced Controls... ActiveX Controls... Next... Windows Media Player... Finish.

Notes:

ActiveX controls may not work for non-Microsoft browsers or for users with Internet security set to "High".

Windows Media files may not work on non-Windows computers. QuickTime and Flash are more universally playable.

A way to insert the video and use the browser's default player is

Code:
<p>
<embed src="videofile.wmv" width="320" height="285" align="center">
<noembed>A Media Player is required.</noembed><br>

Click the Play button if necessary to start the video.<br>
Double-click the video for full screen view.</p>

Hi,

I just embed a video in fp using youtube.com to host it...then it was just like inserting a picture, and using the code.

Very easy, plays well, no lag time..

I agree.  Toss a URL on the video and you have a little free advertisement as well on YouTube. Wink
