I've read quite a few reviews that said Revolutions was pretty bad, but i really liked it. I think the special effects were a lot better , though I would have preferred a different ending (as most people do, with these kind of movies) I won't say anymore in case not many people have seen it. IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE YET, PLEASE DON'T READ THIS THREAD UNLESS YOU WANT US TO RUIN IT FOR YOU!

Yea, I liked it even though the critics are kinda harsh with it. Effects were good, but yes, the ended could have been a bit different. Oh well, it was still pretty good though.

Those who said the Revolutions was bad are those who don't like Japanese comics(or don't even know nothing), KungFu...
The Neo vs. Smith battle is like the Si-Fi version of Dragon Balls. For me that's the coolest battle scene ever. and the super-slow-individual rain-drop-punch-effect is pretty cool, too.
have to see it again...

Haha, seriously. One, you need to stop it with that Smith avatar! Everytime I see it I have to take my hands of the keyboard and look at it for about 5 minutes, while thinking of how amazing the Matrix fights were between Neo and Smith, LOL.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS. DON'T CONTINUE READING IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE. SPOILERS. SPOILERS. SPOILERS. SPOILERS.
I liked this movie a lot better than Reloaded. The war on Zion was intense and the final Neo/Smith fight, especially the slow motion right hook to the face, was very cool.
I am, however, dissapointed at the trilogy as a whole. Ok, Smith sucks in Neo, the Source now has a lock on on Smith and deletes him and Neo, the Matrix is reset to v7.0 and everything is now EXACTLY AS IT WAS WHEN THE MOVIE STARTED. The only thing that changed from the beginning of the first one to the end of the last one is the number of times the Matrix has been restarted. Now the citizens of Zion will build back up again, forget they had peace with the machine and start all over again. I want closure! I would have been much happier if Smith won and blew everything up.
At least they killed off the main characters. It's a gutsy move that not enough movies make.

Zion should have been destroyed. It would have been a unique ending to a unique trilogy of movies.

Now that we are talking directly about the things in the movie, I guess I can add something too. I think what we expected basically happened. We know that either Neo or Smith was going to win the battle, and in this case it was Smith. Smith basically killed Neo, but if you think back in the movie, the Oracle mentioned something very important. She said that everything in the Matrix is a balanced equation, and for that reason Smith was there. Smith was there to ballance out the equation where Neo was the good guy and Smith was the bad one. Now back to the moment where Smith killed Neo. Once Smith killed him, the equation was no longer balanced and now there was only the bad, therefore the Matrix system had to kill Smith as well in order to balance it out. I don't know if that makes sense, but I thought that was very interesting.

The only thing about the reset that doesn't seem to agree with your assessment is that you never see any people in the reset matrix, only the programs. So you don't know for sure that things have been completely reset. The Matrix obviously has been reverted but for instance, even the architect mentions that he wonders how long the peace will last. So he is acknowledging that things have changed.
