Clapping   Thanks for the vote, ituh.

I'm on  In Heaven  that the site is in the runnin' again. I've been working on the site a lot & I'm mighty proud of it. Go take a look-see for a second (or third) time & hopefully, you'll agree that it's worthy of being The Website of the Month! I've even reserved a spot for the badge - upper left-hand corner of the homepage.

We're thrilled to be in the running!  And congrats to the other four contenders.   Applause

Of course we’d love your vote. We know how important this election is, and that the stakes couldn’t be higher for our country.  But beyond that, if you love to travel, and you like to find cool places to stay, we’d be psyched if you would join the Darn Good Digs community.  Sign up for our email list, and nominate your favorite places to stay.

First of all thanks to be part of this contest with our site www.cetopwebgames.com

A second thank you and appreciation to all the people that voted and will vote, this shows that writing a site from scratch instead of using pre build scipts is still worth it.

Now what is CETWG ( cetopwebgames )

CETWG is a voting site that is used by free to play browser based games.

Game owners have ingame a voting link listed with or without a reward for the player. So this generates the traffic for CETWG and in return the game owner gets more exposure and free traffic in return with potential signups. This is a major aspect for game owners as cpc advertising in that market segment is easy 10-25 cent/click. So it's a win/win situation for CETWG as for the games that use CETWG.

Now unlike other voting sites CETWG has a extra geared towards the players. Players can attach their referral url of their game for free. So outbound traffic of a game is basicly a rotator of the ref urls for that game.

Anyway ... I should stop writing cuz half wouldn't be read .. I'm guilty aswell on lenghty posts that I just don't read them. My site introduction post can be found here http://www.lunarforums.com/your_websites_creations_at_lunarpages/ce_topwebgames-t50139.0.html .

Feel free to visit www.cetopwebgames.com and if you have a browsergame or flash game site you just submit it.

And again thank you for the votes it's appreciated.

Clearly this race is going neck and neck to the finish line, and the writing is on the wall that our site, Darn Good Digs, is quite a long shot.  So I'd like to say just a few words about our site, in case somebody wants to give us a vote of confidence.

I'm a history teacher, and eight months ago I didn't know anything about HTML or web design.  Nothing.  Quite honestly, I didn't even know there were web templates out there, or the difference between HTML, XML or Java.  I admit I'm still a newbie to all this.  But my wife and I had this idea to start a travel website, something different than anything else out there.  So I went to the library, checked out some books, and started designing a website from scratch.  I had to learn everything, every tag, and I made many, many mistakes.  But slowly, a webpage started to take shape.  By April we had a small site, a friend showed me to validate it, and we were ready to upload it to Lunarpages.  I know our site is pretty basic - it's shaped by div's and tables, with only an ounce of javascript for our maps and a bunch of forms.

Our story won't inspire a tv after-school special, but maybe - just maybe - it deserves a few votes.  We think Darn Good Digs looks pretty cool, it's functional, it's different from your typical travel site, and it's completely homemade.  Right now all we have is one vote - ours.  So please consider casting your vote for the underdog!

Thanks everyone!

Thanks guys for voting and spreading the word it's really appreciated.

Allthough this is only one of our sites, but hey next month lets hope our php game dev site is selected so you can all vote again. :p

@Darng your site is selected so that's already an achievement. This thread got already more than 2000 views which generated traffic to your site and the other competitors. Even if you don't see many votes it's already a win situation.

And LP benefits also as it atracts potential new customers by us the selected sites spreading the word of this contest.

I have been accused of cheating. I am not "creating" accounts. I voted for myself as I'm sure the other contenders did. My family members probably voted for me as well. They knew about the "contest". I'm proud of the website & what I have accomplished while being attached to this oxygen hose. Having a terminal disease as Pulmonary Hypertension has limited what I'm able to do. The computer & my site have become somewhat of a lifeline to the "outside" & "normal" world. This was fun but now it's not. I was excited but just disappointed now & remember how cruel the "normal" world can be  Sad

I have checked everybody out, and nobody is cheating from what I have seen.  These things are always check out before a winner is announced.  Remember, keep things friendly everybody please.  If things get too serious here, and we have people fighting rather than having fun, we might not be able to do this fun side project anymore.

So lets all work together to get along, thanks!
