I'm getting a chunk of cash in December and thinking of going dedicated (maybe even dedicated II). Anyway got a few questions:
I have VPS now:
- Does anything drastic change? Or is it just the same as VPS only more power?
- Do I need to change nameservers?
- I payed for VPS in June, do I get refunded for the unused other 6 months?
- Can my whole site be moved? I can do the php pages, but moving my forum database is beyond my posibilities.

A vps is still a shared enviorement.With a dedicated server you will have your own computer.
The version of linux will be also changed (currently you have centos 4 ) on dedicated will have centos 5.

Yes , you will need to change the nameservers.

- I payed for VPS in June, do I get refunded for the unused other 6 months?

A refund is not needed , the credit left will be used to pay for the dedicated server.

- Can my whole site be moved? I can do the php pages, but moving my forum database is beyond my posibilities.

Your files will be moved by our admins if you wish as the shared account will be online while we move the files.Please note that there will be a one time administration fee of $75/hour for moving your files if you do not choose a server with Cpanel installed.

Ok thanks. I don't mind using Cpanel as I used that when I was on the basic plan so I'm sure I will get used to it.

But to my first question, big changes, I mean more on a personal level; What will change for me, like do I need to look out for certain things like software updates, the state of the server and things like that. I'm a fast learner but if it comes to it, I prefer to keep everything as simple as possible. Like I don't care to know HOW a car drives; just as long as it's going forward, I'm fine with it.

VPS and dedicated environments have a lot of similarities. Software upgrades, advanced setup and server stability are responsibilities of server owner  in both VPS or dedicated environments. Server control panel like cPanel or Plesk is a good help with first two. To help with the last, Lunarpages offers a number of management addons which include monitoring of your server by Lunarpages staff for important services and acting, if they stop working.

I'd like also to correct Catalin. It appears you don't have cPanel on your VPS and more than likely use Plesk. So to use data migration for free, you will need to choose the Plesk control panel for your dedicated server
