Might drop in an e-mail to dedicated@lunarpages.com and they'd be able to help you figure out if this is available to you or not.   Thumbs Up

Hello,

I realize that I am late, but to answer on this question if somebody else gets it. Flash Media Server is not installed on dedicated server by default but you can install it or Lunarpages admin can assist with the installation for $75/hour fee.

Having very very very much experience using flash chat s integration modules all I can say is GOOD LUCK lol

What Tufat doesnt happen to mention is the existence of needing Red 5 or adobe flash media server for this application.

The Red 5 is free and would need to be a dedicated application, but does not infact support multiple connections for cam and voice.

We spent countless hours on my dedicated server with tons of programmers working on this some that specialized in red 5 to only be able to establish 3 connections simontaniously. (not to mention the money invested in the programming fees.)

By far if money isnt a issue the best route to take is indeed Adobe Flash Media Server, but that is very pricey 1500 to start I do believe

We found it much easier to scrap the whole red 5 scenario and buy flash media hosting from another provider for a so much cheaper plan lol

I then edited the flash chatsui.swf that came in tufats to enable 30-40 cam setups, along with room mic (tufats version of this never worked correctly) i would be happy to point you in the right direction on this when i say right direction ill reiterate by saying the "Most affordable" version of this jsut shoot me a pm.

Tufats script on this are good, well coded, but the server has to match their codes or it will not work, Take it from someone that has been there done that, and can honestly say "Dont do that" lol

Hope this helps you

Sorry should have checked this thread out but I thought it was dead. Thanks virus and perestrelka for responding.  The read me file of this $5 script I bought says the following below. It says you need a Flash Media Server OR Red5 Server (one or the other).  I am already broke from having this dedicated server (which I love though LP Clapping) so a flash media server will cost me $1500  Confused  Virus are you saying I need to get another provider  Confused

REQUIREMENTS

These modules require Flash Media Server. If you don't have it, you'll need to acquire it from Adobe.com. Or, you should find a web host that offers Flash Media Server support. You can find a lot just by doing a Google search on "Flash Media Server Web Hosting". They usually aren't too much more than standard web hosts.

You must also have FlashChat 4.7 or higher, and the ability to edit XML files (I recommend TextPad: http://www.textpad.com).

Hi,

According to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/compare/, there is a free edition of media servers, but more than likely it is required to have some knowledge on how to administer it in order to use it. If you don't have a time to examine that, indeed, it may be better to buy a hosting with Flash Media Server for a part of your site with the script requiring it.

It also appears that the free edition of Flash Media sever allows only up to 10 simultaneous connections, so if you are expecting you will be getting more users, 3rd party hosting or full licensing purchase are the options for you.
