I stopped the mysql process to change the "max_allowed_packet".  It seemed to successfully make the change but when I tried to restart the mysql service I get the following error:

ERROR!  MySQL manager or server PID file could not be found!

And the restart attempts but just hangs and does not restart.

Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance.

***UPDATE
Resolved through tech, didn't successfully update variable.

Hi Ws0x9,

Thanks for the update and sorry that nobody has replied you here earlier. It happens sometimes that configuration change prevents a service from starting up. That's why it is highly recommended backing up the configuration you are going to change before updating it. You can always revert it back then, if something stops working after the change is done to ensure the problem was indeed in it.
