I have a few photoshop plugins that I almost never use. I have taken them out of the plugins folder in PS to deactivate them but to me that seems like its not the correct way of doing this. I've heard of another way without doing that but forgot.

i don't have to many plugins, but the only way i've ever removed them was by taking them out of the plug in folder. just make sure you get the right files. if the plugin made its way to the plugin folder via an installer (most plugins that cost large sums of money are usually like htis) then it probably comes with an uninstaller. if you are in windows, check the control panel, then add remove programs, and it should be listed. that's the best guess i can come up with. good luck.

I agree with the above, try uninstalling it.
the only other way i have heard of is a lttle known button behind the middle ear of the said plug in....but i've never found it myself

If there's no uninstall, you can just delete the files.  If you're not sure, move them first.  If there's a problem move 'em back.

Hi guys. I don't want to delete/uninstall the plugins. Just deactivate some.
Anyhoo,
I was just over at Adobe and found a post on it.
I tried the suggestion and it works.
You put an ~ if front of the plugin. Example: ~UnAlias

Now I'm on a Mac,so I've no idea if this will work on a windows OS.
