Does anyone know if Adobe Photoshop changes print size/layout if you install a new monitor or change your screen resolution?  I would think not but...

I bought a new printer and had to change around some images I use for CD labels.  There are several of them so it took a bit of time.

The only thing I've done is bought a new monitor, and it's at a higher res than the old one.  Actually the old one is my secondary monitor (dual vid heads).

Now I went to print some labels, and the layer positions got changed, etc...and now am havning to do this all over again.

Any ideas, comments, enlightenment, please?  Thanks in advanced.

Hmm.

Photoshop shouldnt change it core settings if you change resolution or hardware. ( i know that for a fact Razz)

It's really weird that your layers positions got changed in it. Did it get really that screwed up?
I do transfer from mac done *.psds to windows done *.psds with no problems at all.
I have NO idea at all what happened in there, you might want to email Adobe's support department to see what's happening. I'd say its most likely a bug that you've found ~.~, but a bug that really really sucks..

Yeah, it got pretty screwed up.  I don't get it either.  Still working on the diffrent label images, and haven't even got to the cd insert images yet.

Hi Mr T.
I got a bit confused here.
You said

Then mentioned  about the new monitor.

but..... Idea
Have you checked your 'new printer'. printer settings are now the default inside PS  Question
I'm often swapping monitors around and have had no probs. The printer might well have different settings then your old one  :!:

Pete beat me to it, but it sounds a lot more likely to be your new printer than your new monitor.  Remember, each printer has different minimum margin sizes and default settings, so any number of things with your new printer could have thrown that out of whack.  At any rate, I'm 99% sure it's not your monitor or resolution that would change that.

Yeah, sounds like these guys are right, check your printer settings and make sure it is set up properly, failing that, try setting your screen res to the same as the resolution of your old monitor, although i doubt that is the problem.
