I have a lot of jpg's to upload. I tried a 400 meg zip file and it took an hour or two and just quit. I have now tried 10 and 20 meg zipped files and they are taking 30 min or so but are successful. Any suggestions on how I might upload any quicker?

Oh, I have broadband.

Are you using ftp? It doesn't really matter, however, the times you have given don't sound quite right. I email and upload files like that often and doesn't take so long. What ethernet do you have?

its highly dependant on your broadbands upload rate
my upload rate is capped at 30 kps, so a 400 meg file would take a while even for that.  Although broadband cable companys are slowly upgrading their systems, most of them seem to be capped at 15 kps or 30 kps.

I would sugesst just ftping over night and go to bed and wake up with it already done instead of sitting there waiting for it.  (I had to upload a 530 meg file at 15kps, took 4 hours I think, so it will be a wait)

Another sugesttion would to find somebody that has hiband connection (say a nice college student or something hehe)

Well, at my university, our library has a T2 connection (or, maybe, T1 - don't really understand the difference).  If you were able to login to a university library computer, you could take the files saved on a CD and upload them there (basically, ZenGyro's idea spurred this one), so you wouldn't even have to ask a nice college student to do it for you.  You might, however, have to ask a nice college student help you figure out how to login since you don't go to school there...
