BRAN planned move - 2nd March 2017
« on: March 02, 2017, 09:04:14 PM »
Dear Customer,

BRAN will begin a planned move to a new server on 2nd March 2017. This move will be to upgrade the server operating system from CentOS 5.x to CentOS 7.x along with better hardware. The exact time and date for the switch to the new hardware will be announced through the 'Network Status' section of your https://account.lunarpages.com account at least 24 hours in advance, after the first phase of the data copy process has been done. You will experience no downtime during this process, although we do suggest no significant changes be made to your site after you receive the second announcement.

It is required to update following Ruby on Rails packages on your server

Ruby 2.3.1p112
Rails 5.0.0
Gem 2.5.1
Phusion Passenger 5.0.30

This update will add new features and fix bugs known for this moment.  Please note that your account may be affected, only if you use Ruby On Rails applications there.

For such case, to ensure the update goes smoothly for you, please check your RoR applications support Ruby Gems 2.5.1.

For detailed info on what will change please see Ruby Gems/rails change logs by the URL below:

Please note that you may check the current status for this server at any time in CAP via https://account.lunarpages.com/ with your cPanel username and password, then by clicking the Network Status icon. Additionally, the move will result in completely giving up on the FrontPage extensions, which are now deprecated and have been replaced with WebDAV.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience in the interim. If you have any issues with your site, please contact support@lunarpages.com
