Hello,

Our apologies for any inconvenience as a result of the recent outages you may have experienced with your Lunarpages hosting services on July 13th, and 14th, 2006.

Yesterday evening 9:00pm PST (July 13th, 2006) there was a hardware failure with a generator at the One Wilshire Building (www.onewilshire.com), this failure caused a fire earlier in the evening.  This fire was not on the same floor as our cage and was isolated immediately.

For safety reasons the building switched to the backup power.  A few hours later, when the building began to migrate back to the normal power supply it failed.  This resulted in about 80 minutes downtime for our customers located in the Los Angeles datacenter.  The building is still investigating what caused the original failure.

Please note, the following was posted at One Wilshire's Website about the situation:
http://www.onewilshire.com/meet_me_room/Electric-07132006.htm

At 11:30am PDT Today (July 14th, 2006), there was a disruption of power while the electricians worked on the supply which lasted roughly 29 minutes.  At this time, all services should be fully functional, however, you may experience slowness or latency as a result of the load on the network while we get back up to full speed.

Please note, that we have the following options available to our customers to track the status of any outages that may occur at Lunarpages.  Our 24/7 Network status line is available from anywhere in the world at: 1-562-697-8106

We also have a Status Page setup off site here: http://www.lunarstatus.com/

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate your patience.
