MOUSEOVER not loading alternate image in SUBDOMAIN
« on: August 28, 2013, 02:15:19 PM »
Mouseover is not loading an alternate image for pages in a subdomain.

The same code works fine for pages in the top domain.

Links activate OK.

I have tried pointing to images using absolute and relative paths.  Both GIF and PNG formats work the same way.

I can even make a page in the top domain Mouseover the alternate image in the subdomain directory, but not the other way around.

It looks like there is something I need to do to make Mouseover work in the subdomain.

I looked and searched in every forum for this topic, but was unable to spot this issue.

Is the code using HTML or filesystem addresses? I would suspect HTML, where / is different for the primary and any subdomains, and normally a subdomain is walled off from the primary and other subdomains, if you're trying to access an image that's on the primary. Are you trying to cross domains (subdomain to primary)? Anyway, hopefully that will give you some hints about where to look.

Problem Solved:

It turns out that that the folder "GeneratedItems" with the file "CSScriptLib.js" needed to be copied into the Subdomain.

This is with GoLive 6.0, and I suspect other Adobe Web Page development tools like Dreamweaver and Creative Cloud may have the same problem with Subdomains.

Good old IE6.0 pointed me to the error
