JOB TITLE:   Junior Remote System Administrator
SUPERVISOR: Manager, Technical Services
EMPLOYMENT STATUS:  Contract, Hourly
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1.   Monitors servers
2.   Responds to server alerts as per instructions
3.   Answers Help Desk tickets in Escalation
4.   Adds features to accounts via billing manager when requested.
5.   Answers Help Desk tickets in Support and Info as a secondary responsibility
6.   Reads, troubleshoots and answers Lunarforums threads.
7.   Continues development of Lunarpages and systems knowledge to more effectively answer calls.
8.   Answers Level III technical questions
9.   Assists CSR and RSR I and II employees with elevated calls and tickets
10.   Responsibilities to include but not limited to:  transferring accounts to different servers, change domain configurations, trouble shoot system issues
11.   Answers Lunarforums threads
12.   Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•   Knowledge and understanding of operating principles, practices, and procedures within area of business specialty.
•   Shell experience
•   Linux
•   Previous server administration
•   MySQL
•   PHP
•   Perl
•   Shell Scripting
•   ASP helpful
•   JSP helpful
•   Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
•   Ability to work well with the public
•   Ability to install server software
•   Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer and server problems
•   Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
•   Ability to work productively and efficiently to meet deadlines and quotas
•   Attention to detail
•   Analytical skills
•   Ability to work in a team environment
•   Knowledge of customer service principles, techniques, systems, and standards.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
•   Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
•   Work can be performed remotely from a home office
•   No or very limited physical effort required.
•   No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
