I have a new account on mars so I created the directories for jsp&servlets and uploaded my first jsp.   However, I get a 404 /index.jsp was not found on this server.  Well, if it couldn't find "index.jsp" then how did it know I'm using "index.jsp" instead of "index.html"?  Is there some step I've missed to get jps working propertly?

Hello,

Firstly you do not create your own directories for jsp servelets.  This needs to be requested to be installed on your account.  Also in order for jsp servelets to be installed will require you to delete the directories that you have created if you have not requested through support@lunarpages.com to have jsp servelets installed.

Doh!  Am I the only one to assume that the account didn't comme preinstalled with the features listed at http://www.lunarpages.com/hosting.html?  Do other features require setup by lunarpages support?  Can we add it to the documentation or do I just discover this when I'm ready for implementation?

Steve, it is documented in the setup email you recieved  "[Smile]"

ASP, JSP and subdomains is the only two things that is needed to be activated manually for you.

The rest should been taken care of already.

Sorry if it got you confused.

Thanks Max,

I appreciate the timely response.

Unfortunately, If I read all of every email, I would have little time to do anything other than read email.  I stopped once I got to the username and password part of the message.

Hi,

I am new to this forum and to JSP technology,
and have a problem in displaying jsp pages.

I requested support to install jsp/servelet on my
account yesterday. I already got an email from them that it has been installed. I then created a simple jsp page to test it. The page has the following statement: 2 + 2 = <%= 2 + 2 %>. When I displayed it on browser, I only got 2 + 2 =. Am I missing something? Can I use a subdomain from lunarpages.com to make JSP pages work (I know there is another discussion about this domain and subdomain problem somewhere else).

You can find the test jsp page at cardonsale.lunarpages.com/test.jsp.

Thanks in advance
