Hi; I have a problem getting a relatively simple Struts login example to run properly on my LP account.

The application is a direct lift from a relatively old book, Struts in Action - Ted Husted et al.

I downloaded the corresponding source code, imported it into the IDE I'd like to use (Oracle JDeveloper) and run the application perfectly in JDeveloper's embedded OC4J application server.  I also have Tomcat running on my local laptop; again, the application runs fine in that application server also.

When I upload it to LunarPages, the application runs but error messages are not be displayed - for example, if I omit either the username or password (or both).  Instead of a bulleted list, I get the bullet only and no associated text.

The WAR file I used with Tomcat is the same file as I uploaded to my LP account.

I have absolutely no idea where I could even begin to figure out what's doing this - does anyone out there have even a vague hint (or an answer!) that they are able to share.

Thanks!

Further to my previous question, which I now withdraw, my application has mysteriously started working.

See http://www.jeremyrusselltraining.com/MyLoginV7

I've changed nothing that I can think of - I called Lunarpages about an hour back to ask for the version of Resin on the server assigned for my account (2.1.13) and I did ask LP support to include my account in the permission changing cron job [ done yesterday ], so I could clear up unwanted directories.

Otherwise, what wasn't working now is ... kind of strange and also disconcerting, since I'm not sure what I can/ought to do to resolve similar issues in the future.

Does anyone have any clues to what may cause such mysteriosity?
