I'm thinking about purchasing another domain name and had a look at the LPCP tutorial about the addon domain topic, but I'm still unsure of how the web address would read. My question is this, would it be a stand alone domain address such as:

mynewdomain.com

or would the new domain address be:

myoriginaldomain.com/mynewdomain.com

Please forgive me if it's a stupid question, but I'm unclear on how the address would read.  Confused  I appreciate the clarification!

This, but some users have reported problems where it appeared as http://primarydomain.com/addon-domain/, which just needed a simple URL rewrite.

Thanks so much for the clarification! Now if the url did need a rewrite, how would I do that? Is that something I do in the control panel and what would I rewrite it to be? Again, sorry if my questions are stupid... I'm just trying to be as clear as possible BEFORE I jump into unknown territory Funky Monkey

Yes. You would just add a code to your .htaccess. Most people i've seen DON'T need it. I've been on 5 LP servers(3 datacenters), and never needed it on any.

Thank you! I will take the plunge and purchase another domain name then. My fingers are crossed that I will be one of the majority who encounters no problems. Grinning
