Howdy folks,

I'm doing some site administration for a friend of mines business. My personal account uses Cpanel (which I know fairly well how to use). His site is using Alpaca. This administration tool seems way to simplistic and I don't see an option for redirects. I'm trying to get a subdomain webmail.site.com to go to his webmail. My personal site automatically works if i go to www.site.com/webmail. Wish that was normal for all. So anyhow, the question is: How do I set up redirects using Alpaca?

Bonus question: Do you think LunaPages would install Cpanel if I requested it?

Much thanks in advance!

Might contact support@lunarpages.com for more information on the specifics, however you can easily create the /webmail redirect yourself, and have it go to the client you want.  For example:

Use appropriate link from LPCP, but the format for .htaccess is:

Code:
redirect /webmail https://216.227.220.35:20082/3rdparty/roundcubemail/index.php

You could also use just "/mail" too if you want.  Also if you would rather use squirrel mail rather than roundcubemail, then just edit the .htaccess code above accordingly.  Thanks!

After our discussion here, thought I would go ahead and write up a tutorial for this too...

There it is, hope others can get good use out of it.  Applause
