Has anybody upgraded Firefox to 3.6 yet? I did a little earlier - and haven't noticed a huge change yet - just a few small features. Here's a full list of new improvements: - Available in more than 70 languages – get your local version.
- Support for a new type of theme called Personas, which allow users to change Firefox’s appearance with a single click.
- Protection from out-of-date plugins to keep users safer as they browse.
- Open, native video can now be displayed full screen and supports poster frames.
- Improved JavaScript performance, overall browser responsiveness, and startup time.
- The ability for web developers to indicate that scripts should run asynchronously to speed up page load times.
- Continued support for downloadable web fonts using the new WOFF font format.
- Support for new CSS attributes such as gradients, background sizing, and pointer events.
- Support for new DOM and HTML5 specifications including the Drag & Drop API and the File API, which allow for more interactive web pages.
- Changes to how third-party software can integrate with Firefox in order to prevent crashes.
Looks like a good release - but I am really anticipating Firefox 4. You can download the latest version from getfirefox.com or just go to Help > Check for Updates... from within Firefox. How about you?

I like it- though FWIW, I'm a bit of an odd duck, as I use Linux as my main OS, and 64bit Linux at that (Debian Lenny), so... Mozilla doesn't have a 64 bit version of Firefox available, so I used the instructions at http://forum.codecall.net/linux-tutorials-guides-tips/18664-firefox-3-5-debian-lenny-stable-amd64.html to compile FF for 64 bit (I also use the 64 bit flash beta from Adobe, which works well). The only oddity that I have run in to is that for some reason, a lot of web pages load oddly (though fast), in that when I want to use the back button, I have to hit it many times- in the drop down back button, it shows 3 or 4 of the current page. Other than that, it rocks!

That Firefox 3.6 pop-ups in my window everyday.. Asking me if I would like to upgrade my Firefox.. I haven't did it yet because I just don't want to. So that's the features of Firefox 3.6... Sounds awesome... I'll do it some time...

Yeah I doubt that you would have any big problems by upgrading - unless there were any extensions you were using that hadn't been updated in some time, and I really haven't had that problem with Firefox for the past few versions. Seems everybody is staying on their toes.

Even then, there's ways to hack in extensions that are marked as "not compatible". For the vast majority of them, it works.

I just a few weeks ago switched from Safari to Firefox 3.5.7. So, I'm not ready to try another new version. Have to get the hang of this first. My Safari was getting slower and slower. Don't know why. blamed it on my ISP. Someone suggested FF. I was amazed at the difference. Like the AddOns. Wish the Auto Form Filler worked better, or I understood how to make it work. I have upgraded long time ago and I haven't noticed big changes, I was happy because the majority of the plugins I'm using are compatible with FF 3.6. Even then, there's ways to hack in extensions that are marked as "not compatible". For the vast majority of them, it works.
Yes, because there are only minimal changes in the code.

Not yet. I'm always slow on upgrade. Very lazy and old fashion lol. Yeh I know bad excuse but I prefer sticking to the good old stuff on certain things instead of having constant change and having to acquire back to new functions and layout.
