I came across this in a post by Justin (jwink3101) and decided to try it. It's really cool--you can make your own font. Go to http://www.fontifier.com (you have to have the www--they obviously aren't using LunarPages  Grr..!! ) and print off the sheet. Write in all of the letters, numbers, & symbols, and then scan it onto your computer. If you don't have a scanner, you could probably use an image editing program to draw in the letters with like a Pencil or Brush tool or something.

Then you submit the image you scanned in, and it turns it into a font. Install the font by copying the downloaded .tff in Control Panel --> Fonts. Then, go into Word or Notepad and find your font's name. Here's a sample of mine:

Pretty cool, huh? The only drawback is the lack of certain characters--like \, á, #%^*_+<>{}][| and the rest.

Cool.   Thumbs Up

There are also font creation programs.  Macromedia has one called Fontographer (yeah, cheesy name) at http://www.macromedia.com/software/fontographer/

Here is a site where some guy created his own fonts using a program like that:

There are many font programs out there. Some of them you enter in points and it works like vector graphics. Other, you can scan in images and they are turned into vectors. The problem is, there are no standards in font creation. Anybody can ame a font but you have to find a way digitalize it.

well your scanned image comes back instantly as a font file. so it's probably custom, I'm thinking.
