What's changed? Example: Search "gerry mangar" and you get "about 134 results", NONE of which contain that string. I started noticing this probably 1-2 weeks ago. Anyone know what's up?

Yep. If clicking on that link: Your search - "gerry mangar" - did not match any documents.

Remove the quotation marks and you get what RickJ is seeing. But it still is nothing to do with gerry mangar.

So google is not recognizing my quote marks.
Yes, I am crazy half the time, but you can see from the screen shot that I DO have the quotes in there.
This has got to be the oddest oddity I've run into in a long time.

what browser are you using? I'm wondering if for some reason the quotation marks aren't being encoded properly... have you tried clicking the link you gave and seeing if it produces the same result for you?
(Oh, and I got no documents found as well...)
ADDITION: What's really interesting is that I took the quotes off and got a different set of results than what was in the image posted...

Believe it or not RickJ has finally gone to using Firefox. See, old dogs CAN learn new tricks!
- I get exactly what you see whether I click on the link or do a new search identically.
- Using IE, I get the identical results.

There is a link at the bottom of the page: Dissatisfied? Help us improve
Try submitting a report, including a link to this thread. Maybe you've uncovered something they can fix.
I also got 0 results with quotes.

I think in this case 0 > 134, or at least preferable.

Absolutely. I don't care about # of results. I just want accuracy. I'll try the report link and hold my breath. On 2nd thought...

I tried the search in the 2 other search engines with and without quotes and they're not any better.
