IE 9 beta is out. I have it installed on Win7. I have to say I have never been a IE fan but 9 looks and feels very nice. They took a lot from Firefox..nothing original. The big thing is the support for CSS3. Now the rounded corners on my site looks the way it was designed. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/download/ie-9/worldwide

Using beta versions of software is never going to be as secure as their non-beta counterparts. However in the case of Microsoft and IE this probably doesn't apply.

Don't use Beta.. better wait for Stable release. Anyway, since you got it.. how about the speed? Speed is the most important thing I look at, when it comes to web browser. So is it faster than Chrome?

I'm peeved at explorer 9. I have a laptop and I need to maximize screen space.
Why oh why must we devote an entire line of space to the minimize, maximize, and close buttons. Why can they not be moved down to the next menu bar?
Is it rocket science to make all the bars fully customizable?
I want an address/nav bar and a tab bar. That is it, I hate scrolling up and down on a laptop screen.

IE9 Beta now you won't be able to continue to make use of a earlier version of IE like IE8, IE7, etc.. To make use of an earlier IE version you would require to uninstall IE9 and reload the earlier version. You can still have another/second browser like FF or Chrome loaded, but not another version of IE.

Beta IE9 now can not continue using an older version of IE as IE8, IE7, etc. To use an earlier version of IE needed to remove IE9 and reload the previous version. You can still have another browser / second as FF or Chrome loaded, but not in another version of IE.

I have just downloaded it and its easy and free to download. Internet Explorer 9 beta version is the best and I like to use it. It is public free download and fast web browser.

IE9 has two lines of Chrome in windowed mode. Microsoft Internet Explorer has been the Big Mac web browsers, a mass-market product everywhere that comes preinstalled on all Windows computers, but is avoided by anyone who knows about the much faster, lighter alternative.

It will be definitely like this. Using beta versions of software is never going to be as secure as their non-beta counterparts. However in the case of Microsoft and IE this probably doesn't apply. This is the main thing about it.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 9, currently in public beta, is the latest version of Microsoft browser. For of regular Internet users, which remains the same, will not use it until Microsoft starts putting in their own OS. After installing new windows on our computer the first thing we do is open Internet Explorer and download Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
