My History class is performing Oedipus Rex after reading it in English. Anyway, a note was sent home to the parents about it and as a joke the teacher wrote "Oedipus Tyrannus." My mom didn't think it was funny and my mom didn't get it. Do you think it was funny?

I'm not taking it down. I'm just giving up on it for the most part. Now that I'm fleeing the country in 5 or 6 months, it just doesn't seem as important anymore.

I was wrong. it actually was not a joke, just a coincidence (spelling?  ).: Oedipus Rex" is latin for "Oedipus the King" and "Oedipus Tyrannus" is greek. Means the same thing. So now i rephrase my question and ask, isn't that an odd coincidence (agian, spelling???)? |

Oh, BTW, i thought it was a joke on tyrannosaurus rex. Tyrannus + Rex... Do you get it? Or do i have to beat it into you?  |
