ok, i have been living in the neutral to defending camp in regards to Microsoft and it's operations.

..until an hour ago Grr..!!  Grr..!!

as some of you know i'm trying to start a business selling video games online only. i have been searching for as many distributors as i can find to cover all my bases and to provide some security incase one goes out of business for whatever reason. i've found a few of them and one in particular seems very popular and very professional. they won't let me open an account will they!

apparently they signed a deal with Microsoft to only deal with store-front businesses and no new accounts are opened with online only stores.   Grr..!!  Confused

not happy at all. why oh why you 4 eyed geek!? ok, i know it's not Bills doing but i'm going to blame him anyway.

Huh? The distributor actually admitted that they have signed a contract with Microsoft that has the direct effect of limiting competition in the field of your choice? Has M$ learned nothing from the class-action lawsuits they have been fielding of late (and losing in recent years)?

Does M$ even sell games online? I don't think so, but perhaps they are thinking of expanding into that venue? If so, the 500-pound gorilla may soon be stomping on your spleen...

after a few phone calls spread over the last month and pleading (i'm persistant. or a pest. i don't know. one of them) the distributor did state that it has a contract with Microsoft so they won't offer me an account.

think it's worth reporting it to the competition and consumer dept? i don't but i'm just pissed off enough to do it.

In the past year i have developed a strong dis-liking for Microsoft. i know the world and the who tech scene would not be as it is today if ti weren't for them but c'mon, make a safe, strong and durable product.
