how do you guys do it? any tips for taking on big projects?

atm i feel very scattered. each night i sit down at home and work on my site and i click on this link, click on that link, try to do this and try to do that and next thing i know it's past midnight, i haven't had dinner yet and i haven't advanced much at all. i guess because i'm a beginner i'm trying to learn it all right now. i should just try to do one thing and stop deviating all the time. but it's damned hard.

anyone else feel the same or is it just me???

I feel your pain Gamer.
I'm currently working on the website for my gaming community
-SSI- Shadow Storm Independents (shameless plug)
Every day i sit at work and look up websites for ideas I like and then e-mail a copy of the link to my home address so I can try and disect what they did and alter it for my own use. But whenever I start I end up being distracted for no reason whatsoever. Mainly MSN with a message saying wanna play AA?
So the site currently has one of those frontpages we've all seen a million times. a Nice graphic, some mind numbing text and a link to somewhere else. I'm blaming it on AA and trying to learn how to deal with ASP on a different project in the near future.

So really all I can say is I have no help for you. I'm in the same boat.

ok. that's not funny. not even a little bit. you could change your name to george and no one would notice because that is exactly what happens to me each day. i find that the most productive time i have is at work because there is no AA here. hmm, you think we should delete AA  Confused

but then...

there'd be no AA Crying or Very sad
