I like the layout of it, I am not a huge fan of the navigation graphics though.  I can definitely find things easier on there now though.  Just found the Facebook group too, didn't know there was one.

Now if only they would update the forum look, I find it amateurish

Get rid of all the flashing emoticons, make it a link or small window. You are a professional hosting company but the forum looks like it was thrown together by a high preschooler.

Just my opinion

PS. I love the new Lunar look, carry it forward to the forum pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese

Nice, more handy, I also realize that now LP site is using a width:990px of wrapper & width:965px of container while in the old one used width:840px of wrapper & width:775px of container. Ergo LP could distribute the info better now, right?

Is that going to happen to
http://www.lunarpages.com.mx/ &
http://www.lunarpages.co.uk/
as well?

Very professional new look. Nice and clean. Agree with previous poster though, the nav buttons look poor. I think the fact the text is centred on the drop downs is what makes them look worse. Left justified would probably be better?

Thank you all for the feedback, and please keep it coming!  I am going to send this thread on over to the designers and higher-ups so they can review all the comments posted here.

Yes, the design is still being pushed out to some of the other pages too - so in time, they will all be updated to the new look and feel of the new site.

Using the existing template with small changes could let it look way better

for instance the

These could easy be changed by eg the LP logo, I've done this for one of my forums and it gives instantly a more prof look on smf.

Example to what they where changed on my forums.

Also the similar small icons should be changed.

I assume LP has a inhouse GFX artist , if not it's prob like a 5 min job to alter the smf icons to lets say LP logo icons.

---

Now back to the new look, I like it

Only thing I wish is that the members page gets refurbished also and get rid of that Add to bookmarks popup, most annoying and unproffesional part there is.

Sure LP has. If I'm not wrong I think one is Todd Austin, isn't him?  Clapping

More important than the new look might be having the network be up.
Or, at least when our sites are down due to LunarPages maintenace you folks
could put up a message for folks trying to get to our sites, with the message saying something like
"the web hosting company for this site is experiencing technical difficulties and they hope to have the site up and running soon."  At least that way our customers would not think it is just a problem with our business, and might be a little less angry at us.
This is the 2nd time in a month that our site has been down for hours due to Lunarpages moves/maintenance/problems, and is creating quite a problem for us and our customers (costing us business and hours in time dealing with dissatisfied customers.).

barton, there is a place for that via the Customer Account Page, however it might have had issues this weekend.

Everybody, please keep sending in your feedback, suggestions, comments and thoughts on the new Lunarpages.com web site re-design.  Thanks!

Not a big fan of the new look.  At first glance, it may look "clean," but it also reminds me of a start-up company due to the very basic look. The previous layout was also pretty clean, but it seemed more professional (and that I am looking at pretty well-established hosting company).

The scary part I first noticed as a long-time customer: the famous Basic Hosting Plan that probably brought in a lot of business is now called "Personal Website"??  I have several basic plans I use for both personal and business. Does this mean I need to start looking for a new provider if the basic plan can only be used for "personal" websites??  Sad   Crying or Very sad   Sad

When looking at the key features and free scripts available for the plan, I miss the info being links for a definition or more information. Example: for free web scripts, when a potential new customer see 3 blogs are included or 6 content management, it would be helpful if he/she was given more info (like your site did previously). As a current customer, I sometimes view my plan to see what options are available or if an option was improved/upgraded (such as the unlimited stuff).

I seem to have a hard time navigating the new homepage to find info. I didn't use the old homepage often in the past for much, but I could quickly find things that I needed to from the start. I came here tonight for the 1st time in about 2 weeks and had a few problems.

Online Tutorials: I don't believe this has changed (or is part of this question), but it is lacking.. especially with all the options Lunarpages offers.

just some of my thoughts....

I'll agree with mousie that using the phrase "Personal Website" will probably turn some potential micro-business customers away.  Other than that, I do like the new LunarPages.com.

However...

The reason I took a moment to comment here is that I don't like the login process.  I would love to see the username/password section added to the regular homepage.  Also, the lplogin.com site is too busy.  I'm not sure what the plan was for that home page, but I didn't come there to see the weather or read my horoscope.  I just want to log in to my hosting account without waiting for all of that stuff to load.  Perhaps some users use that page as a dashboard, but I'll be sticking with my iGoogle homepage.  Oh, and the amazon ad really turns me off. I understand adding revenue streams, but as a hosting company, I think it reduces your credibility.
