Hi all, I introduced myself in "Introductions" last night. There may be a few of my friends, members of our message boards, coming over here to meet you all over the next few days so I thought I'd create a place for us to meet. Well, Tony, I never thought about creating a thread like this in chat. Kind of beyond an introduction, a place where friends could chat about web related stuff and meet. Since most of my friends are in this forum, though, they wouldn't probably post in a thread like this if I created one for myself, since they'd think I was just trying to shamelessly increase my post count (long story this, won't bog down your place with the details). Anyway, cool idea, and hope you have fun here in Chat & Stuff (even though, technically, you should only have real fun in the Fun category). Have a Blessed Day  |

Hi Miraenda, I was simply creating a place where my friends, (if they decide to come here), could find me. I have no interest in increasing my "post count," as you put it, I am not looking for fame.
If this bothers anyone please just delete this thread and I'll go back to where I came from.

Hi Tony,
I didn't think you were at all. I post a lot and am actually trying to increase mine, so that is why I mentioned this about myself. Don't worry, I think your thread is a cool idea as I said previously for you and your friends to get together. That is what this Chat area is about. Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression with what I said above. Also, I don't think you are looking for fame. I guess my way of welcoming new members to the Chat area needs some work.
Anyway, welcome aboard and hope I didn't offend you or scare you off. I joke around a lot, so just let me know if you think I've gone overboard (like the mention about not having fun in this thread was a joke as well).

Ouch, I guess I was a little abrupt. Sorry Miraenda, we were under attack so heavily in the past before I went moderated to protect my members that I can see I still have my guard up. I'll work on that.  And this thread is not meant to be exclusive, the more the merrier as we really do want to make friends. In our message boards such a concept as a post count would be meaningless. We have no provision to count individual posts nor do we need or want that. We simply meet when we can. Mostly we are a support group for each other and many of us are writers and soon-to-be-writers. Our E-Zine will reflect this and you are welcome to drop by Miraenda to look us over, you will be made very welcome. It's quiet there now as many are still away but some days we will get between 200-300 posts. Sooooooo, sorry if I bothered anyone with "Tony's Place" but it really is just another thread and I know that if my friends come over we will very soon be wandering all over. It's new to us yet, is all. Tony. |

Good morning ladies. Nifty, I have a pop-up thing in my W&F website email that tells me when there is a post here no matter where I am on the internet or not. it's great! But for some reason I didn't get a notification of yours, just yours Miraenda. Glad you made it over here Nifty, I know how busy this time is for you so I really appreciate your interest.
