I always have a problem with sound drivers, graphics drivers and all the rest for XP. Was also trying to understand how to run linux maybe...but...them drivers are hard buggers to find!

You would of course need to run a 64bit version of XP. It looks like chipset, audio, and graphics  XP drivers are available for this system if loaded from the manufactures instead of the ASUS site. Certainly worth giving it a try! Just make sure you have a fallback "just in case"!

I have tried XP on some of the newer processors with big ram. Don't do it, stick to windows 7, xp was never intended to run  on some of the newer equipment. It has ram limitations, processor limitations etc etc. OK if you buy a nice under powered netbook but not worth it for a newer PC.
