I'm not sure if I interpreted the article correctly, but does this: http://www.computerworld.com/developmenttopics/websitemgmt/story/0,10801,88924,00.html
Mean that the average 72 hour time limit for DNS's to go through will be lowered?

I'm gonna sit on the fence over the two issues - a) whether propagation times will go down, and b) whether this will disrupt DNS servers... Time will, as always.  Confused

Although I understand why the thread is named VeriSign, I originally didn't intend to look at it b/c I thought this was related to ecommerce rather than DNS or propagation issues...

I think that the article is important b/c it can affect servers if the server admins aren't aware the change is occurring and continue to use the methods noted in the article to update records.  Basically, I can't say if it will improve speeds or not of propagation.  I won't sit on the fence about DNS disruptions b/c any change has a basic disruption, although the disruption can be minor or major, and I don't know what will happen in this instance.

I was going to say the following
Quote from: me, if the post was different
I do not like verisign. They are monopolizing domain registration, and overcharge for thier Network Solutions subsidiary ( i know i can't spell). I also hate them even more sicne the SiteFinder incident

Of course, that is not what the post is about so i should not say it. Smile
