Title: How to make domain show up for sub directory
Post by: robusdin on December 24, 2017, 10:12:18 AM
I own a domain - registered at the other hosting company. It is JerseyJamcast.com

It is currently pointed at: http://www.usdin.net/jjcnew/

How can I make all pages show up as the domain itself?

Thanks!

So JerseyJamcast.com is defined as an add-on domain, pointed to usdin.net/JJCNew/? Try the following in your /.htaccess (public_html/.htaccess) file:

Code: [Select]
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond  %{HTTP_HOST}  ^(www\.)?usdin\.net  [NC]
RewriteCond  %{REQUEST_URI}  ^/JJCNew  [NC]
RewriteRule  JJCNew/(.*)$  http://JerseyJamcast.com/$1  [R=301,L]

That will usually cause the desired name to show up in the browser. I'm assuming this is a normal Apache server, which processes .htaccess, and not Windows.
