DDOS attack on network
« on: September 26, 2012, 06:39:40 AM »
My site and server has been down for atleast 3/4 hours and is still down.

Lunarpages says it is experiencing a DDOS attack on the network..

They say it is a network attack and not an attack on my individual site/server.

Never known anything like this before, been on dedicated server since March, hosting intense.

Just wondered if anyone was experiencing this today?

We (LegendsOfAmerica.com) are also experiencing an outage.  Was told in Chat earlier it was a problem in the Irvine CA data center, but don't remember mention of DDOS attack.

I quote from my ticket "we are being targeted by a DDOS that our network engineers are trying to filter...network speeds should be back up to full speed as soon as possible"....

We have a dedicated server at the Irvine data center and have been experiencing the outage for about 5 hours.  We got our first alert from an external third-party monitoring site at roughly 5:00 AM Central Time (3 AM  Pacific).  Have called support 3 times and got relatively quick response, but little information and not resolution ETA.  On the most recent call (9:45 AM CDT / 7:45 AM PDT) I asked for escalation to a manager or "next step up" and was told that there was no one available.

Radware Guard in your network against DoS and DDoS attacks with denial of service (DoS) protection and network. Prefer to install in your server.
