well, trying to prevent hotlinking and bandwidth stealing, I've decided to use some scripts I found on the web, that only allow the download/streaming of files from the website if the user is referred to the file by the website. these work ok when using the mplayer plugin on a mac/linux computer. but i couldn't get the windows media player plugin working at all in IE or firefox for windows computers, so I decided to use a flash player. But it seems with a flash player, there may be no referrer or perhaps the wrong referrer, because nothing plays and I get notified that I'm trying to download the file from another domain. How can I find and fix the referrer of the flash, or pass it the correct referrer with php? Will it work with coffee cup web jukebox or xspf player?
