I am interested in doing an intro page to a website that is essentially a black background.  I want to have lightning flashes (accompanied by thunder) that reveal the website name in pieces.  I'm sort of new to Flash but am wondering if people have ideas on how I could accomplish this with Firestarter or just Macromedia Flash.

thanks for any tips!

I'd use Flash to do it if you have it. Depending on the realism wanted, it could be simple or a little involved. The thunder sound files would be easy to attach in Flash. Noot sure about doing that with Firestarter.
