Ive programed a site using asp.net on visual studio.net 2003 on my PC running MS SQL and IIS

it works fine on my pc, but when i just uploaded the site to lunarpages , all asp pages show up as code

for example http://ganymede.lunarpages.com/~blueha2/OfficeEmployeeManagement/MainFrame.htm

my account is less then a day's old, and i'm using a sub lunarpages domain atm.

my account is also asp enabled.

anyone know how to fix it ? Sad

Hi,

You cannot use the temporary url to access pages for ASP as it requires a fully qualified domain name (FQDN), which http://server.lunarpages.com/~username is not.  You would either need to actually have a testing subdomain setup (what you are using is not a subdomain from the link you provided but the temporary url), or you would need to point your domain's DNS nameservers to ours and wait for them to propagate, which takes 48-72 hours.

If you need a testing subdomain setup in the meantime, please write to support@lunarpages.com and provide your Cpanel username, last 4 digits of your credit card on file with us for verification purposes (no charges apply), the current domain and the new subdomain name you want (in the form subdomain.lunarpages.net as you are on Ganymede which has ns4 & ns5 nameservers so lunarpages.net subdomain is the one it would use), and authorization to make the change.

Please note that once you are done testing, you must reply to that same ticket and request to change back to the prior primary, otherwise your primary domain will not resolve when it does propagate.  The reason for this is that changing the domain removes the DNS entries and zones for the prior primary domain, so unless you tell us to change it back when you are ready, then the domain will never resolve.

Thanks.

I just tried my usual fix for links that were in the old phpBB format, but it didn't work. It looks like that thread might have been moved or merged with another topic as some point...

For the benefit of others, the fix for one kind of format change is to change

viewtopic.php?t=XXXXXXX    to

index.php?topic=XXXXXXX

but that doesn't seem to work for p= instead of t=. So like GM said, it may have been removed (or, the original poster botched their post). Does anyone know in general how to do it? post= and posting= didn't work.

There's no way that topic is a legitimate one because the current topic number is 22951 and that one has an extra digit.  If it were a legit url, it would be:

http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/index.php?topic=203708.0

Again, however, it has 1 too many digits.

I would have imagined the poster was likely pointing out we have Windows plan with ASP.net now (we didn't when the thread existed), except for the fact the post was in 2005 and we didn't have Windows plans then.  As such, I really have no idea what the link might be, but I think given we have Windows plans with ASP.net now, that it might be helpful to point this out and that if someone needs ASP.net to sign up to Windows rather than Linux as Linux uses SunOne ASP and doesn't support .net framework (the original creator of the thread was on Linux and so the code developed using asp.net likely wouldn't have worked fully compared to the more recent users who can sign up to Windows).
