Should I use blogspot and have a new window open when someone clicks on it on my site, or does CPanel have something I can/should use for blogging?
Thanks.

I would highly suggest using WordPress, which can be installed via cPanel (listed under "Fantastico").  You can learn more about it here:

 Hypno
I'm also trying to figure out the best way to create a blog connected to my own website. I already have a blog started using eBlogger.com but won't let me change Html codes because of some code error with "meta..." end tag omission in my template I use for all html pages. Not comfortable changing what already works on my website. But will do a save as/rename and do a test run on that template.

I work in DW CS5. I consider myself an adolescent/teen beginner. Know just enough to make mistakes as I experiment and continually read forums, etc. to figure it all out between Lunarpages and DW.

I saw that Fantastico has Wordpress listed but haven't started it yet. Would like to use what I did with eBlogger if possible. I basically want to make sure that have these features on the blog:

1. my website has the blog page to link to and utilizes my template, making every page format consistent.
2. it offers not just my posts, but also comments and automatic archiving (i.e. after 60 days).

In addition is there a way with lunarpages to put something like the following on my homepage and blog page to interface the social networks I post to. I'm trying to post once in my blog and have it automatically be posted to the other networks. Is it possible? (i.e. http://www.addthis.com/pages/toolbar-landing?utm_source=hm&utm_medium=link&utm_content=ATIEToolDL_orig&utm_campaign=ATCMIE_DL)

Wordpress can do static pages and dynamic pages. It is an excellent blog script as well as quite good at general website building. There are numerous plugins that can be added including those for social media. Mine automatically posts a notice to twitter for me and I am considering adding wpbook plugin which will post to Facebook from Wordpress. I also like the feedburner plugin for RSS.

Yes, Wordpress is very good for beginer and experienced bloggers because it is easy to customize (lots of plug-ins and themes). Let me know if you need help setting it up because I'm experienced WP user. (I can help you for free because it takes less than 2 minutes to install WP but for newbies it can be much harder)
