Hi there,

I recently decided to start my first website, so purchased a domain with the help of lunarpages.com, I paid for it and recieved my welcoming email with username/password etc. After attempting to log on to my website via an FTP program using the appropriate username/password to start uploading stuff, and failing, I realized I must have been doing something wrong.

So I think I've purchased just a 'domain', but to actually add content I should have purchased a "hosting plan" that would have come WITH a domain...is that right?

So basicaly now I'd like to use the domain I've already registered and paid money for in a hosting plan but can't seem to figure out how. When I try to purchase the starter plan and apply it to my existing domain it says "The domain name already exists in our system" and suggests registering a subdomain... but I don't want to pay for an additional subdomain. I just wanna use the domain I've already bought. Help!

I hope this makes sense and thankyou for reading!

Purchase hosting online but choose "Use existing domain" and then enter your domain but change the .com part to .other. After the account is approved and setup, email support@lunarpages.com and ask them to change the primary domain to the correct domain.
