okay, i'm installing moveable type.  when i run mt-check.cgi, a script that ensures i have everything needed installed, it says DB_file is not installed.  I need it to use the berkely db backend.

http://no-bro.com/cgi-bin/mt-check.cgi

i've searched the forums for people requesting help with this same issue, and i came across one thread where it was said that DB_file is installed already.

what's going on?  i've been trying to figure it out for days now.

CHECKING FOR DATA STORAGE MODULES:

The following modules are used for Movable Type data storage. You must
use either the Berkeley DB or MySQL database backend. In order to run
Movable Type, your server needs to have at least one of these modules
installed.

    DB_File...
   Your server does not have DB_File installed. DB_File is
   required if you want to use the Berkeley DB/DB_File backend.
   Please consult the installation instructions for help in
   installing DB_File.

    DBD::mysql...
        Your server has DBD::mysql installed (version 2.1023).

use mysql as the backend.  i use mysql as the backend for mt and it runs well here at lunarpages.

hmmm...maybe put both the message board and mt on the one mysql database?  i believe that's possible, but not ideal.

if not, ask support about the possibility of having berkeley installed.
