So, I signed up about 3 days ago and got the galaxy server. I switched my DNS info and my homepage gets kicked to a strange "lunarpages" kickme.to site. The "manual" method (galaxy.lunarpages/~...) still works for reaching my hompage. I've read about the DOS situation (having no idea what that means)on galaxy and noticed the blurb about banning certain IP addresses, thinking that might have something to do with it. And, Im still not gettin email. Am I being anxious for no reason? Do I need to learn a little patience?? Or is something wrong here?

Appreciate any info, and thanks in advance!

Hi,

The DoS situation (which has been resolved) is not related to your problem.

Your e-mail difficulties are due to your domain not working.

Your domain www.counterthought.com resolves to ns2.dynamicname.com

That is the second nameserver for lunarpages.

Unfortunately, you have setup the domain incorrectly.

You need to use the lunarpages nameservers (the dynamicname ones). At the moment, you have made your domain name point to one of the nameservers, instead of using the nameservers, if that makes sense.

I think you have made an A entry in your DNS settings.

You need to contact the company you registered your domain with, and tell them you want to use the lunarpages nameservers.

If you cannot do that for some reason, just setup your domain to resolve to 64.235.234.165, which is the ip address of the galaxy server. This isn't the recommended setup, but it will work.

At the moment, your domain resolves to ns2.dynamicname.com , which is the 2nd nameserver. That's why it doesn't work.
