Author Topic: DSL providers?  (Read 395 times)

This question didn't seem to fit any of the topics so I hope I'm not too off by posting it here.

Would anyone know of a good resource to use for searching for a DSL provider (or even better yet, does anyone know of a good DSL provider in Baltimore? - a long shot I know  "[Smile]"  )? In the past when we relocated my ex-husband would always handle this end of things so now I'm a little lost as to what to do. I've tried finding a sight that perhaps lists providers by coverage area and/or reviews of different providers (much like webhostingratings.com > a great resource btw  "[Smile]"  ).

lol I left the computer mid-sentence and when I came back I forgot to complete it. The last sentence of my previous post should read:

I've tried finding a sight that perhaps lists providers by coverage area and/or reviews of different providers (much like webhostingratings.com > a great resource btw  "[Smile]"  ) but have had no luck. Any suggestions?

http://www.dslreports.com

It has user ratings and reviews, several forums, speed test and some other tools.  It's a pretty good site for DSL info.

I use Directv and like them.  BellSouth ($%#$!) was a nightmare.  But, I know people with the exact opposite experience too.

much like webhostratings by the way...
*g*  that's how I found lunarpages.

Great! Thanks so much for the tips. I will certainly remember to be weiry of those providers. I was having the worst time finding a site like that which lists that sort of information. I'm off to visit them now. Thank you so much again guys! I really appreciate the advice.
