Yesterday I tried to add a few subdomains but messed it up. If you look at http://www.schooley.taupedesign.com/
instead of a site you get Index of/
Parent Directory
cgi-bin
Apache Server at schooley.taupedesign.com port80

What did I do wrong? Should I have set up a redirect to point to the schooley file?
I'm using DW8 if that makes any difference and have the address set at http://www.schooley.taupedesign.com/

Thank You

You would need to upload the files that you want to show up for that address into the folder that was created (under your "public_html" folder).  Hope that helps!

In DW, for host directory I have public_html/. Is that right?

As an aside, when do you use redirect?

For publishing, it should be /public_html/subdomainfolder replacing the subdomainfolder with the folder that was created for that sub domain.  From the cPanel docs, here is what you need to redirect a subdomain to a page under your account:

Quote
You can redirect Internet traffic from a particular subdomain to another location. This is usually used when the web pages that made up the subdomain have been moved to another location.

To add subdomain redirection:

   1. Click on the Subdomains button on the home page.
   2. Click on the required subdomain from the first drop-down list.
   3. Click on the Setup Redirection button.
   4. Enter the redirection address in the available field. Make sure that you end the address with a trailing slash (e.g. http://yourdomain.com/).
   5. Click on the Save button.

Hope that helps!

So, I should change public_html/ to /public_html/schooleyfolder?

I guess redirect doesn't apply because the folder hasn't moved anywhere new.

Yes, that should be correct - just curious did you upload the folder first and then create the sub domain or create the sub domain and then upload the content to the folder?

When I tried what you suggested I got an FTP error when testing the server connection.
Can't remember what I did first.
I called Tech support yesterday and there was a recorded message that there were problems with the idargi server, so I was hoping that was the problem.
I think my best bet may be to delete the subdomains  from Cpanel and try again from scratch. What do you think?

Yep, that would be a good route to go - make sure you add the subdomain via cPanel first, and then upload the content to the folder that was create for the subdomain into the specified folder.  If you have any issues with it after that please feel free to contact support@lunarpages.com and I am sure they'd be happy to look into this for you.
