Hi,  "[wave]"
I know this question has been asked and answered but  I Feel The Need  to double check  MY  interpretation of the answer.  Not that I'm being paranoid or anything.  "[Roll

"[freak]"  That pesky three-sentence paragraph at the bottom of Lunerpages’ FrontPage manual is what is causing all of this stress!   "[eek]"
http://setup.lunarpages.com/manual/cpanel-manual-frontpage.html

Sentence 1:  “C-Panel administration features should Never be used to administer a FrontPage web, as it will damage it.”

 What???

On March 8, Stephan (Moderator Member #3) answered a slightly similar member’s question about the C-Panel with, “What it means is, don't use anything other than frontpage to upload your files, or frontpage will be confused!”

Sooooo, I CAN use the C-Panel’s fancy features to administer my website on Lunerpages for everything BUT the actual upload.  Right?  After I enable the FrontPage extensions.

Sentence 2:    “Repairing a FrontPage web means we must reinstall the FrontPage extensions into your account.”

Like I said, I thought I did this myself.

Sentence 3:    “In the event you request this option, make sure your entire FrontPage web is backed up on your local computer before asking us to do so.”

I understand needing to have a back up of my website on my computer.  That’s good advice in case I blow out my FrontPage extensions on my Lunerpages’ site.  I have to uninstall the extensions, reinstall the extensions and then re-upload my website to fix it.  Right?  So why does sentence 3 indicate that I need to ask Lunerpages to do it for me?

Am I missing something?  Should I just have gone to bed and reread the manual in the morning?

"[clap]"  Thanks for any help, "[clap]"
A FrontPage user,

Hello again,

Yes, you are right, just don't use CPanel to upload files, it's better not to.

You can reinstall frontpage extensions yourself whenever you feel like it.

As for "Sentence 2: “Repairing a FrontPage web means we must reinstall the FrontPage extensions into your account.”

Sentence 3: “In the event you request this option, make sure your entire FrontPage web is backed up on your local computer before asking us to do so.”"

I didn't write those.

I use Frontpage to create my website. And for server extensions to work, the frontpage files must be uploaded through frontpage. I do, however, upload things like images and other files that don't have anything to do with the server extensions through the c-panel. I have not had any problems with my site because of this.

That usually works OK, but it can mess up the links in FP, depending on how you do it. I never fool with the C-panel, I just upload everything from FP. Don't see any reason not to.

You know you can upload single files from FP right?
