I have a student who needs some server space with mysql to work on a project (in another class).

I know how to make a folder/subdomain with an ftp account, but he needs mysql access. Is there any way to give him access to mysql without him accessing all of the stuff on my domain?

Hi Mike:

No is the short answer. You could give him an email account or a FTP account, but not a SQL database account that is separate from the rest of your stuff. He'd need your account info, which I would NEVER do. (just too much room for inadvertent damage to occur)  Nope

Um, wouldn't that be in violation of LP's Terms of Service? (redistributing account resources to others) You risk great harm to your site by letting someone else get control of it (even if they have the best of intentions).

If all this student needs is a small website sandbox, why don't they install WAMPP on their laptop?
